Well it works better on alcohol then kerosene. Somthing the previous owner apperently hadnt figured out. (I.e cleaning de luxe)
I haven't seen any Optimus converted to alcohol before so it must be a bit unique. But Primus and Radius did the same so why not Optimus. A very simple modification, just a reduction in the air inlet. Question is if it is the same jet as for kerosene? Primus and Radius used special ones. Bo
I also have an Optimus modified for alcohol of about the same vintage. The jet is a special one for alcohol with a larger hole. You can see the S stamped on the jet in the presentation of this lantern in the gallery. Mine is still in the queue to be fettled.
