Early Optimus 300 on alcohol

    Well it works better on alcohol then kerosene. Somthing the previous owner apperently hadnt figured out. (I.e cleaning de luxe)

    Hmm. Good one. Got some other, non converted optimus 300s, ill fix some side by side pictures.

    I haven't seen any Optimus converted to alcohol before so it must be a bit unique.
    But Primus and Radius did the same so why not Optimus.
    A very simple modification, just a reduction in the air inlet. Question is if it is the same jet as for kerosene?
    Primus and Radius used special ones.

    I also have an Optimus modified for alcohol of about the same vintage. The jet is a special one for alcohol with a larger hole. You can see the S stamped on the jet in the presentation of this lantern in the gallery. Mine is still in the queue to be fettled.
