...£800 - surely not! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/tilley-bowl-heater-type-primus-rare-1010-1929-/112236078828?hash=item1a21caa6ec:g:vAAAAOSwcUBYUC9t Where do they get their prices from?
You can make an offer, we should all make offers starting at 50 Pounds and go up a Pound at a time...
I don't know what this guy is playing at, that heater was on auction with a 99p starting bid, then it was relisted at £600, then at £375, then at £800 and now he's "cleaned it up" and it's back at £800. I guarantee he hasn't finished yet either, keep watching and you'll see it sells for a completely different price. See the primus 96 he's trying to get £175 for, he bought that last week for £37. Just look at his completed listing to see all the prattling about that goes on.
If this is the one think it is then he bought this at auction for about £150 including commission. HD
I thought the username was familiar, I've just realised I've talked to this guy about a 1922 Evening Star Lantern he had that needed a lot of work. He had it listed at £45 BIN or Best Offer, and after I asked for some pictures thinking it might be worth an offer of £30, after I did he changed the BIN to over £100. After I talked to him some more he dropped it back down to £45 BIN but with no offers. On the same day a complete Evening Star sold for about £10 more, so I made my excuses after that. He put it back up to £100+ after that. I have one already, and for £30 it might have made an interesting project, but how do you deal with someone like that. HD
I wonder if the seller reads these pages because, just this morning, he has dropped the asking price to a mere £400 - a snip for someone in the Far East at that price, surely...
