    Hello, greetings from Germany.
Im mark (Expat) living here for over 20 years now, but full into the English army and Equipment.

i have been given this lamp and dont know what it is and where i can get parts for it and an Instruction manual if possible.

    Thank You

Yup, looks like a pretty standard Vapalux 320 with a military background. SQMS - ? Quarter Masters Stores maybe...

It's nice to see the individual components but those pieces are not meant to be taken apart, that's why they're soldered in and I doubt anyone will know for sure, which way round the pin goes.
However, all is not lost. Start by cleaning off all remains of solder so that the cam part can be easily screwed back into the main body. Re-assemble the parts and try it. 1/2 turn clockwise should raise the pin. If it doesn't, dismantle and turn the pin round the other way.

    Henry.

:-k What were you hoping to achieve by dismantling the pricker control? (not "injector"). As Henry says, they're not meant to be taken apart and I've never known anyone attempt to do so.

In any case, from the photographs, it looks like there are only two ways possible for it to go back together and I'd suspect, in reality, when you try it, there's only one - the way you have it in the photographs...

With the vaporiser on, the pricker should be just felt or seen through the top when you rotate the shaft clockwise.

My first lantern also had a hard life, at least initially whilst I did quite a bit of learning. Luckily lamps themselves aren't flammable!

(It was quite an exciting learning process, best done out of doors.)

    Welcome to the forum!
