Unknown alchohol safty can.

    What lantern was this can supplied with? And what year aprox?

    Iw now seen this can with a Primus 1015 in original packing.

    I'm sure it's not Primus. Maybe it came in the box, but most likely not when it was new. Primus had a habit of marking everything they sold and I don't remember seeing a Primus mark on these cans. They aren't uncommon, but not often painted. The red plastic filler lid would indicate a date from the 50s or later.

    Hmm.. Your probably right, they did mark every last part. Would be intressting to know where it came from anyhow. The paint is however my doing, it was corroded as hell :)

    Here is some circumstanciual evidence of the relation between this meth can and primus.

    To the right on this picture is the plastic lid for the meth can and to the left we have the plastic cap protecting the screwvalve on a primus gaslantern(2153).

    And here you can see the markings inside the caps that is practicly identical.
