Coleman HQ

    Coleman HQ i dont know much about this lamp
    but a very nice lamp indeed..can anyone tell me if this is the right burner?

    Hello Kenny, including your example, I now know of only 5 HQ., lamps in the UK., and Neil mentioned that he knows of about the same amount in the USA., so it's a rare beast indeed!

    Your burner looks to be from the correct period, but it would be easier to tell if you took off the shade carrier and photographed the burner close up.

    It should have a Q99 generator, but they are scarce in the UK..

    A minor point this as I'm sure that Christer will correct it, you have put the HQ., in the wrong section, Jeff.

    Hi Kenny, Your lamp appears to be one of the Coleman Toronto, Canada builds. The bakelite?? valve wheel points to this. The Coleman Wichita, U.S. had the fiber wheel. Look on the air tube on your burner. The U.S. Version has a patent date of May 19, 1919. I think the Canadian has a 1918 date ??, different from U.S, anyway
