    I got old Radius 119.
    It missed original glass and needle. So I bought 119 needle and nipple form Korean seller at eBay.
    But their quality was not good... I could not insert needle into the nipple because shoulder edge of needle was so square. And needle's wire easily pulled out .:rage:
    So I decided to use this lantern for a while without a needle.

    @YOSH

    Well done! I have a couple of lanterns that I run without a needle, and use a pricker. I keep my kerosene very clean, and I prick before lighting.

    Cheers

    Tony

    I do the same as Tony on some lanterns.
    And on top of that, it's also a good idea to roll a very fine stainless mesh into a short "filter" and tuck down the vapouriser just below the jet.

    The Radius 119 is my favourite lantern. Mine has the military pot warmer on the top.
    They are so well made and have a great shape.
    I have used mine many times and never had a problem.

    I had that same problem with the new Radius needles on an Aladdin A1, a Radius 119 clone ,same squared head, same broken needles . I tracked down some NOS Radius needles and jets and they work fabulously well, sometimes they are for sale on ebay and elsewhere.

    I used the same new Radius 119 needles for my Aladdin A1's, a Radius clone. Same problem , squared head on the needle, much time trying to fit and broken needles. I was able to track down some NOS Radius 119 needles and jets and they work fabulously well in my lanterns, solved the problem completely. Not to unduly criticize the seller , his unmarked Radius globes for the 119 and ceramic hood tops were very well made and I use them with my Aladdin's.

    On the subject of pricker needles:

    I now routinely "clean" all my replacement pricker needles by twirling them in 800-grain wet and dry paper; then try them in the jet before reassembly. Sometimes I file the tip smooth if it looks burred.

    Cheers

    Hi all,

    Thank you so many comments.

    @Tony Press
    Yes, If use fresh kerosene with pricker needles, the needle will not be so dirty.
    And thank you for your advice about how to keep clean pricker.

    @Carlsson
    Short mesh filter under the jet is good idea! I'll try that!

    @JEFF JOHNSON
    Thank you! Radius lantern is very nice!

    @shagratork
    I think so! The military pot warmer model is very popular in Japan.
    119 was very silent lantern in my collections.

    @Hanzo
    Your Aladdin A1 work well!
    I try to look forward NOS Radius needles and jets.

    Cheers,
    Yosh
