Entered this picture in the Kansas state, Cowley County Fair photography contest. In America we have different County s that make up a state. It won second place in the animal open class 'open class - open to all people' (very small county fair). I received as reward money $1.50 dollars or about 1.27 euros, enough to buy a 1 1/4 ounce candy bar.

Had to take the lantern all apart to get the old rust (lots of rust), and brown colored gunk out to get it to work. ROCO the neighbors dog has since then run away or was stolen away. The Frankie (short for Frankenstein) is a term meaning a lantern made from different parts. It has a Military Spec font with a 220 style top. Thank you for looking,

I'm sorry but no news. He was a wonderful kind dog and quite beautiful in color. I would of loved to have the dog. We are fortunate and live outside of town in the country. It is not uncommon for a country dog (the neighbors dog) to wander off and explore something or somewhere else. If the dog found a new owner that fed them better, it might of chosen to stay with someone else.

Thank you, ROBBO55, it was really my first fettle and a battle it was, rust, rust, rust and gunky old gas in font, take everything apart and soak in vinegar. It took several hours of standing at sink and swishing vinegar, and then I tried two times putting BB's into font to get rid of more rust. I even made the mistake and tried to light it at the kitchen table with the results of almost catching everything on fire, with thoughts of having to throw a flaming fireball out the front door. It was at that moment my wife told me never again will I light up a lantern in the house. Now it is one of my easiest to light lanterns and a jewel to light up and use. Those 220 burners and generators are easy to use.

Thanks Jeff, I was a little hesitant to say/post anything here as there is such a large number of foreign lamp manufacturers and models that I have no knowledge of them.
