Thought I'd share a few photos of this model since it's still missing in the reference gallery.
It was one of my first lanterns. Bought it from another collector here in Switzerland.

It's missing because up to now this model was just a rumour based on the gap between the C and E models. I have never seen one before and I don't have it listed because I had never found any real evidence the model existed. So a nice find and in real nice condition. ::Neil::

Very nice, Beni! It is the white gasoline equivalent of the kerosene fueled Coleman 249D that is often found here in South Africa.

I'll see if I can add the D-model in the sub-forum title.

    Thanks everyone.
It is one of those lanterns, that just needed a good cleaning to run.
I bought it together with a 249 scout.
They were my first two older lanterns.
    Before that I only had a CL2 and 288.
    Collection has been growing since.
