    Hi all,

Due too both cleaning needles being broken on my 930 and 1200 i bought three new ones from base camp, their Optimus part number is 2680 but apparently these are obsolete so they supplied me with Petromax 68/2's, which they said would fit, when next to an original broken Optimus needle the actual body of the 68/2's is slightly longer but as they said they were fine i have fitted both but with the jet tightened fully down the needles protrude on both at all times and the control wheel will not turn properly,
    Any ideas please?
    Thanks.

You could try trimming a bit off the end of the needle. OK you still won't be able to fully turn the wheel but it should do the job.

Can the cleaning rod not be adjusted a little shorter at the eccentric rod end.

I've just pulled the rod out of the 1200 thanks to that snippet of info @Andrew T and can see there is some adjustment at the bottom, i've adjusted it a couple of threads to see if that's enough, hopefully the 930 is the same,
Thanks for the help gents  :)

Got there in the end! 1200 remove and adjust, 930 adjust in situ.
