Hi all just started watching walking dead for lack of any decent programmes.
They seem to like the close ups of lamps !
In this case I suppose a mantle would help

I'd say it was an AGM Milspec. Clues are:
    a) The collar and hood are as found on an AGM 3927 (known to have been used by the U.S. military. b) Single mantle burner and a Milspec generator.

    Henry.

One of these then, Henry - it looks a pretty good match:-

I've got a couple of these, obtained via eBay from the Liverpool area and advertised as 'Three Primus lanterns' - the third one actually was Primus - for about £50 IIRC. They have the original wrench stowed under the crossbar on the globe rest - visible in the third picture.

It took me two whole days to identify what they were from an old copy of the PLC with a little input from other members. Unfortunately Neil was away that weekend and he confirmed my identification within two minutes of his return - d'oh!

Anyway, sorry about all the muck on it - I promise this lantern is now top of the pile for refurbishment (once I finish refurbishing my house, so don't hold your breath!). Surely there can't be that much that needs doing to it... [-o<
