Another 4 hours of light and heat. Henry and I are planning on displaying again. Worth a look in and we hope to see some of you there. ::Neil::
I'll be there again and look forward to seeing you. @Mackburner have you notice set up starts 2 hours later this year at 12.00 noon? Regards, Jeremy
I'd like to be there but Ipswich is just a bit too far for me, given it's only a few hours. But maybe one day...
I'm tempted, havnt been before, and I missed out on Newark this year Things are lightening up for me now at last Sorry
12:00 makes little difference to us. We never get there before that anyway. What is important is an earlier lights out at 5.30pm. ::Neil::
Looking forward to it. Been absent for past two years due to holiday - but its in our diary this time...

Hi Neil, I wasn't able to get to the Ipswich event this year. But your photo's show a fine display as always Among your display it's very nice to see you had 4 Blanchard's alight and on display this year, it's a pity I misted the event and seeing them all alight together. Jim
Hi folks, sorry for the late posting. I had a great evening and appreciated the welcome and kindness shown by @Mackburner (Neil) and @Henry Plews. I made contact with CPL, Facebook and YouTube friends and enjoyed generally chatting to anyone who wished to. It was especially nice to meet up with @OldGreyDog (Greg) who returned after a two year absence, but sad that @loco7lamp (Stu) wasn't able to attend owing to work commitments. Any way enough of my waffle, here are a few photos. Regards, Jeremy
It was a good event and i hope to show some lamps there next year. Somehow i ended up only taking one photo though.
It was great to catch up again, and I have been trolling your UTube vid's ) We had a fab' evening, lamps are one of only a few things that herself and myself share an interest in... Also, thank you for the cuppa' and the scrummy bacon buttie - there is no better way to cook bacon!
All the way from Oklahoma for a few hours light up? You'd be much better trying to get to Newark, Nottinghamshire, UK (not the Newark in New Jersey because you'll be on your own!) which is in June every year. Although nominally three days, folk turn up early and you could have as much as 5-6 days with like-minded nutters people...
Yes, long trip, but I am over your way many times a year for work...I just need to make the dates line up. Looks like a lot of fun David...I have not come across too many like-minded people here in Oklahoma
@spiritburnerMighty words of wisdom. Dump all of your non collectable lamps with me and I will dispose of them for you free of charge!
Jim Yes but I often think we should try harder. I think betwen us Henry and I have about 9 Blanchard/Barnard and maybe 5 Kitson lamps. We should maybe show more of these old English made gems. Mind you it would be nice if I could make them all actually work. I have 4 out of 6 Banchard working with one which appears to be in good order that just won't work and one with a damaged spindle. I have come to the conclusion that they just don't like standing idle for a year or more. Still one day maybe? ::Neil::
