The burner is quite clever on these with three perforated downtubes at 120 degrees to each other, each producing a vertical row of small flamelets to heat up the conventional-type Tilley vapouriser. Unfortunately, and probably because of that, the CS56 was about twice the price of the equivalent Primus stove, at the time... Nice stove, though, and with a great flame pattern.
Yes a very good stove but a rare thing. Expensive when new and no better in function than a three leg Primus type so I don't think they sold all that well. Nice piece to have in any collection. ::Neil::

It's the CS22 that's eluding me - the CS56s are positively common compared with that one. I've never seen one and I can think of only one person I know who has one - bah!
