Butterfly carbide miners lamp

    G,,day it is new and unlit.
    i am going to strip the lacquer and maybe polish to get rid of the spotty corrosion where the lacquer has failed .
    it will then be left to age gracefully .

    G'day Kerry, it should clean up nicely. :thumbup:
    I can remember using ones very similar (if not the same) in the late 1970's as a backup light source when caving.
    I've looked for those lamps amongst my old gear but I'm buggered if I can find them.
