So what has started out as a casual interest has probably gone a little further than that! On holidays at my parents house and I couldn't help but look online in the local area and as luck would have it someone was moving on a collection of old Tilleys. I took my Dad around with me who has not really been that interested until now and we bought the whole collection. :D/

    Here is the whole lot.

Here is another shot showing my takings on the two tables on the right hand side. I put a bit more skin in the game than Dad. The golden coloured pork pie I think was the find of the day!

And here is what Dad has picked up.

An instant collection of fine lanterns with some rather nice stoves too!

The fettlebox is going to be your new best friend

And we have one of Dad's lanterns up and running. Flushed the tank, tested without mantle, cleared the burner holes out, tightened up a couple of fittings, quick mojito, added mantle, dust off and done!

Fettling of one the X246As in progress. Disassembled everything, flushed the tank, polished the tank, pump, stop cock. All new seals and bucket. De-coked the pricker rod. Then I realised I've run out of kero so can't do a test burn until tomorrow!! Really happy with how the polishing brought it up.
