    Having worked in the garden all day, it’s time to have a quiet cold beer, think of the past, and ponder the future.

    Just about to go out to a ceilidh in the village hall. Went to a Wedding Reception on Friday night, I'm getting far too old for this. Would be happy to sit in front of the fire with a bit of shortbread and a dram but toy boy husband likes to go out! Anyway, Happy New Year to everyone and I hope 2018 will be kind to you all with good health if not wealth.

    Decided I'm not too old after all! Enjoyed the ceilidh, went to bed at 3.30am and this morning climbed Bennachie, our local landmark.
