Hi I have just read through a discussion posted in 2014 regarding problems sourcing a jet for the above lamp. I have just found one of these lamps (which is about the same size as the Petromax HK 150) and have problems with a worn jet. I am now looking for a replacement and, like the original discussion, cannot find a nipple with the correct thread. Does anyone have a suggestion or know if the original discussion ended with the answer?

    regards

Could you replace the complete vapouriser from a px 150 or 250??

It moves the thread compatibility further down, but it is a good thought!!

In the past I have converted Petromax jets to fit other lamps by grinding off the thread, silver brazing on a bush and then re-tapping it with the correct thread.

Thanks for the two suggestions. Unfortunately, James, yours is above my level of competence at the moment. The other suggestion of changing the upper vaporizer for a Px HK150 one is interesting. Is there anyone out there who could say whether the threads are compatible at that point or at least give me details of the external thread on the petromax lower vaporizer which the jamb nut screws down onto. Any help is much appreciated.

Just following up on my previous comment. The upper vaporizer thread on the Standard lamp jamb nut is M12 X 1.0. Does anyone know if this is the same thread as the upper vaporizer jamb nut on a Petromax HK150? regards
