Found at a local swap a couple months back. Actually walked right by it and saw it from the other side of the vendors table. Thought at the time that..."That tin sure looks like it would hold a lantern". Apparently it did! Was told over on the Coleman site that it was for the early 242 no letter lanterns with the narrower fitting bail. Apparently true as none of my 242 letter lanterns will fit. Pretty solid tin original decal and paint is what it is. Came with the mantles clipped inside on the lid but no lantern! I think that might of been asking too much?
Thank you. I think I've been very lucky considering the relative short time I've been playing with pressure lanterns. I hope my luck doesn't run out!
