This is a Petromax 830 from Netherland.

They were sold in the 1930s to the Dutch Railway

With 1,5l fuel the lamp was lighting for 19hours, with a 350hk jet.

The lantern has a rapid heater and an extra prehat cup, mounted on the vaporizer. This must have been a special feature ordered from the railway company. 1308113352-cc10.jpg company

    Hi Karli
Nice lamp is it marked with railway Co's name?
These lamps had a hard life whilst in service so survival rates must be lower.
