I have a little problem (for the CPL moderators)

Hi
since some months (years ?) i noted some topics adress in order for me to remember.
like this one : http://www.classicpressurelamps.com/forum/showtopic.php?tid/4125/

But now if I copy this adress in my Firefox
I obtains this : "Connect failed: Access denied for user 'cpl_ross'@'localhost' (using password: YES)"

what could I do to refind this topic ? and a great number of others I have in my PC

Same result here, Michel, so it's not just you...

 

That is common for many old links after the platform change.
That's why you often can see links in old threads that actually don't go anywhere.

I think Ross can explain what this is caused by, so I tag him here.
I don't think there is an easy fix for this.

That particular type of link - I don't remember the cause but report them as you have them & I'll try my best to fix.

That's a link to a post on the old forum. Most should redirect automatically. The one in your post doesn't. It could be a fault or less likely the post no longer exists.

If you post them I will try & fix them

We have an inbuilt bookmark facility for subscribers at the bottom of each post. You can access your bookmark list via your profile.

I can't fix it so the old link you have works but this is the post it refers to

When giving a non-working link it would be helpful if you also gave the post where you clicked on the link.
Having the post and the rest of the thread puts the link in context and may make it easier to find the post to which the link was pointing.

You have to know that none of the old adresses are working
- either the adress I have noted, some times ago (this one)

for exemple : I presented a picture of my Rafale lamp here :

If you go to this page, as you can see, this is impossible to go to the fettling work page

It will be empty until you add bookmarks. Do you not see the bookmark option at the bottom of a post?
