    Hi All,

Has anybody noticed the date stamp on the Veritas Superb? On the base plate LHS of the air inlet, 2/55

Also appears on the Coleman Ranger. 2/55.

Seems to much of a coincidence to have 2 lamps with the same date stamp. I guess Falk Stadelmann had a batch made up with the date stamp.

The Superb came into production in 1954 so it looks as if Coleman started their negotiations about this time or earlier.

Anybody else have different date stamps.

Are you refering to the plate that the bottom edge of the glass sits in? If so then yes, mine is stamped 7 53. Presumably this means some Superbs were produced prior to 1954?

I looked up the date on Pressure Lamps Unlimited but in rechecking 1954 is the date of an advertisement.
