Here is my Ditmar maxim "Type 505". "300" The redundant pre-heating slot. The door for lighting the spirit cup (in this case one from an Australian Aladdin 1A) The hood has some flaking, but generally in good condition. I didn't remove the pricker rod. "Maxim Type N0. 505" "DITMAR" "Made in Austria" also "Fabrique en Autriche" Both the collar and cage had lost nickel, so I cleaned the rust off and over-coated with clear coat and baked. Fortunately the pricker needle is intact. The cylindrical aluminium tube is additional heat sink for the vapouriser. The alloy pump knob is cracked in places, The bottom portion of the alloy NRV has a left hand thread! The rust was cleaned off the inner hood. "Ditmar" "2305" Up and running. This isn a very bright lantern, well built, with some quirky bits like the left hand thread on one part of the NRV. More on this lantern here. Cheers Tony
