I'm not so sure. These carbide lamps are grey painted steel. The 1021 was brass which looks nice polished.
I believe that the lamp built in the years WK2 for the military, is certainly a sign on the tank for the military Gruß Alfons
Yes, the brass 1021 looks much better. But it rust as bad as these simpler in thin steel, since the bottom of the water container still were made out of steel. It's funny with the No. 1021 since they later decided to make a pressure lantern with the same model number! Very odd. I don't think that is the case with any other apparatus from Primus. Does anyone know when the 1021 and 1031 were first introduced? There was logic in most of Primus' number systems, but there is an odd one now and again. The 1021 though is the only one I know of that is reused.
I'm pretty sure that the first version of the carbide 1021 came in 1918. That's when practically all Swedish carbide lamps in the first period of paraffin rationing were produced. The next was of course sometimes during WWII
