Coleman 247 USA

Hi I received a Coleman 247 made in the USA in the post today.

 

I saw your post over at CCF and had to run out and check all my 247's. All Made in Canada. lol
Nice find and a rare one I am sure!

Thought it was a 249.

 

Lucky it uses a 201 gennie. Packrat R109.00 and 201 brass spirit cup R55.00

I found a new old stock 201 steel spirit cup earlier this week but the 247 cup is a bit smaller. I will post more detailed pictures shortly.

Why is it that people do not realise the fuel cap seal is leaking but instead suspect the lead seam...
Also commonly seen on SA Railways Tilleys.
I suppose if your only tool is a hammer, everything starts to look like a nail
