    Does anyone know where I might find a supplier of cylindrical lantern glass 112mm X 103mm?

    Woops: height is 112mm, the diameter is 103mm (up to 105).

    Cheers

    Tony,

    This is not a standard size. A glass-maker will be able to widen a 100mm diameter tube or to reduce a 105mm tube. Length will be no problem. It may require some phone calls to find a glass maker who wants to do the job.
    Some universities will have their own glass making department for their laboratories. That is where I would ask first.
    I certainly could give you the company details where I have done customized glassware, but that is in Germany.
    Last job was a number of spare globes for my baking oven lamp.

    If you can use a 105 mm dia. tube it will be easier. These are readily available for glass-makers and can be cut to your needed length.

    @Erik Leger

    105mm diameter is ok for only one of the lanterns.

    Realistically I will need the 102 or 103mm diameter.

    These are to fit Australian-made Gloria 100s and similar Gloria lanterns.

    If I found a source, there would be the potential to order quite a few.

    Thanks for you advice.

    Bob, the glasses I have are interchangeable between the models; and could be longer on some models, but I suspect that Gloria just used the same glass for different models. What do you think?

    Cheers

    I’ll call you tomorrow and we’ll plot some action on the Gloria glass front.

    Cheers

    @Tony Press , I have two pieces of unmarked pyrex with 97mm ID and 102mm OD, one 182mm long and the other, 195 long. If you do not come right locally, you can have them for the cost of the postage.
    I knew they would be useful someday...

    This sounds like the same diameter as used on Handis. They have a diameter of roughly 100mm. The height is 'only' 110mm though. If they fit, that might enlarge the order making it more worthwhile. Just a thought.

    I don’t have a Handi, but I’ll ask a couple of other people to check.

    There are a couple of Gloria 33s with Handi style glasses in the Reference Gallery.

    Cheers

    @ColinG

    I'll get the calipers out when I get home, but I think the ID will be too small to fit over the burner casting [ @Lamp_Doctor ].

    Cheers
