My $10 sisters

    I just got these from a estate sale for $5 each. They look new and work well. I do not really know anything about them. Other then they are 290A 700 I have run some coleman fuel in them. What else can I burn in them.

    Good deal on them Ari. Just stick with CF and you should get a lot of usage out of them

    Can you use Kerosene in this lamp? I can make a preheater cup - but will kerosene damage the generator in anyway?

    I also just acquired a 290a from a surplus store.

    I do not know what I can run in it. I knew I would be safe with coleman fuel.

    Well, knowing very little about these later Coleman lanterns (I've probably got a 290 somewhere but I certainly don't use it), I just looked at the instructions. (click here)

    Have a look at 'Things you should know' - No.2

    Simple really...
