    Hi,

here is my latest project. The lamp comes from Spain. An interesting mix of Tilley and Vapalux.

What an odd and cool lamp Andreas  Never seen that one before - thanks for sharing.

The airscrew on the tanklid looks like something from Focus.

On the second picture note that the filler cap and pressure reléase valve are identycal to the ones on the first lantern on this topic:

The fuel tank looks remarkably like a Primus 1020's.

    Hello,

oh yes, very interesting comparison! The supporting frame is also similar to the PRIMUS.
Vapourizer is not identical with Tilley 169.

    Best regards Andreas

Is that not a Bialaddin / Vapalux vapouriser?

Looks like a Hybrid lantern to me. Primus or Focus Tank with bits of Vapalux and Tilley above. The vap tube does look like a Vapalux and that means the burner can't be a Tilley so that is almost certainly a Vapalux part as well. Stuff like this can be factory made from bought in parts of course and it may well be a correct lamp as sold. I have doubts though and would want to see a few more or the paper to confirm it before I become a believer.

    Where is the CSIMA marked?

Yes I found that. What is interesting is a Vapalux vaporiser which means it has to have a Vapalux/Bialaddin burner but it's mounted in a Tilley hood. Now a standard Vapalux burner won't fit a Tilley hood but it will if you change the air intake tubes and fit Tilley tubes. I suspect this lantern would have had a Vapalux hood originally. ::Neil::

I'm still not convinced that it is a Vapalux vapouriser.

@Andreas Peuker Which is the CIMSA vapouriser in your image ? Top or bottom ?

@Andreas Peuker Thanks, I thought it was but wanted to make sure.

Here is an image of a Vapalux vapouriser (top) and a Tilley 169 (bottom).
    01.JPG

Referring to Andreas's image which I included in my previous post, I can only assume that the upper vapouriser is a Tilley 169 shown for comparison. Notice the groove in the tube where the steel fitting has been crimped in - something, which as far as I know, Vapalux NEVER did.
The CIMSA vapouriser (with hex fitting) is longer than the 169, it also seems to have a smaller diameter. Where does the idea come from that the CIMSA vapouriser is Vapalux ?

@Andreas Peuker dimensions of the vapouriser and images of the burner would be useful.

    Henry.
