Here's my Australian-made Gloria 33 lantern. It was made from around 1933. It is gasoline. The hood (vent): The base plate: The pump operates like a Coleman pump: The burner casting ("Gloria 33"). The generator (this is a Gloria generator, not a Coleman or Lind-O-Lite). Up and running. As it came (next to a Lind-O-Lite 33, of which it is a copy): There is some discussion of this Gloria 33 and the Lind-O-Lite 33 here: Gloria 33 comparison NOTES: 1. The first few photos show the lantern with an original bail taken from another Gloria 33 I have. 2. The glass (globe, chimney) is a Schott -Suprax large bulge globe for Coleman 236/237s. The original chimney was probably mica (as fitted to my other Gloria 33). 3. Advertising from around that period show this lantern with the typical Gloria finial atop the vent. I've tried to fit all the Gloria finials I have to this lantern and I cannot find one with a fitting thread.... 4. The lantern has the same kind of external valve, connected to the end of the pump tube as discussed in this thread: Fettling a Gloria Table Lamp (unusual Australian model) This is a very sturdy and bright lantern.
