Very nice, @Reinhard Another pressure lamp de-electrified and restored to what it should be. Its not always easy (especially if some original crucial parts are missing) to restore an electrified unit.
I thank you all. Is the Focus 06 really a 500 CP lamp ? @MYN The following parts were missing : 605,601,600,599,634,690,636. Regards, Reinhard
@Reinhard , I would guess that you fabricated some of those(burner extension tube and brass adapter for the burner) in a machine shop? Ceramic burner is of common size and thread to the Petromax? J-mixer tube taken from a donor lamp? Pricker and eccentric piece: made your own? The the ring for attaching the mixer in the hood? It won't be easy anyway.
@WimVe I like your hanging lamp logo. You're probably a big fan of these hanging lamps. @MYN I have installed in the Focus 06 a new mixing tube, mixing chamber and burner 350/500cp of the brand Butterfly.(Indonesia).Butterfly spare parts can be bought in Germany. Butterfly mixing tubes are fastened with two nuts. (Central mixing tube attachement) So I could do without the mixing tube extension and the metal ring. I had to enlarge the hole for the mixing tube a bit. The mixing tube ist short enough above that I could make a distance of 14 mm and down long enough vor the burner to stick out far enough below. I was really surprised that the Focus 06 started so easily and that it shines so bright and evenly. @leo Yes I also have a 350size cleaning needle installed. My two Focus are the only hanging lamps in my collection that have a built-in cleaning needle with complicated mechanics. These Focus hanging lamps were very thoughtful and of high quality . @Mackburner I asked again about the light intensity because: 1.)The Focus 06 is no bigger than a Focus 02 (200/250cp) 2.)Although the glass of the Focus 06 is larger than the glass of the Focus 02 ,it is considerably smaller than the glass of a Petromax 835(400cp) At 500cp it could be critical,I thought to myself. 3.)Through the nozzle fits a 350 needle. But maybe there were two different sizes for the Focus 06. 4.)The original mixing tube must have had a smaller diameter than the mixing tube of a Petromax or Butterfly 350/500cp. Conclusion:The Focus 06 is in my opinion a tuned powerful Focus 02. Regards Reinhard
That's a very well done and thoughful restoration project @Reinhard . The Butterfly mixing tube works well as far as my experience goes. Even here where I live, close to the place of origin, Butterfly spare parts are now not easily available. Whatever I get are mostly surplus old stock.
Well that may be so but I don't know what size a Focus O2 is. It is listed in the PLC but without a cp rating because all I have is an image of an O2 but the label does not give the power. I have no peper for O2 and as I have never seen one for real I don't know how big that model is. Seems to me you have evidence that gives the power and I need to see this evidence before I can amend the PLC to give the cp rate for model O2. ::Neil::
Thanks, took some time to make. Detail: I found my avatar back at an asian lamp forum. I had to do some typing to get my point that I was not amused that somebody simply steels your avatar which I made myself.
@Mackburner I know 2 different sizes of Focus 02. I own a very small one.But maybe it's not 02.I do not know yet If they have the same luminosity. I still expect information from Spain. But that can take even longer. Regards Reinhard
Good morning, I have the possibility to buy a focus 06 that has been electrified, it lacks all the coil, the ignition device and some other things, I suppose that getting those parts is very complicated so I am thinking a lot.
Welcome @JUAN JOSE ROIG, Spare / replacement parts for all old lamps are rare and hard/impossible to find. You may have to buy another indentical lamp for parts or make them yourself.
