Very well shined-up, @Titoo . You must be good at polishing metal to achieve that. What did you use to get that shine? Surely an earlier Aida with the vertically slotted collar. I'd say earlier than my Aida Express 1350 with a smooth collar(although mine's not exactly a 'sicke' unit). 'Express' should mean 'rapid', I think? Yours is without a rapid preheater torch. Late 40s or very early 50s probably, but I'm just guessing.
Hi MYN, I have not polished this lamp yet. I just had diluted citric acid with a special sponge. For the generator with the remains of bad combustion i used pure vinegar with fine steel wool X: 0000. I restore and clean all my lamps only by hand. I never use power tools. I guess the best lighting potential for this lamp
Nice one ! Congratulations. These are well made and ne of the last european pressure lanterns. The 1233 is the basic version of the AIDA 250cp, no rapid, no pressure gauge. Is there a number on the bottum ?
Are you sure they're the last of the European lanterns? If it was made during the early 50s, I'm pretty sure there are still European lanterns made in the 70s at least. Unless you are refering to the Aida only?

Is the generator and jet marked ? What confuses me is: 1) the corroded inner top part. The quality difference is high between the pristine outside and NOS appearance and this part. 2) the NOS 1250 I have and have sold do have a galvanised handle not a bare steel one. May I ask where you found the lantern ?

Why me!! My work area never looks this good.Everything is so organized. FYI: I have a 1233 and it's stamped on the bottom, think it's 1965... Going on memory and that's not good - in my case!
