Whilst in France, I have found this "Pressure lamp/oil lamp" made by "Abeille", Manufactured in France. It looks like a very good conversion with the oil lamp mechanism located where the stove burner would be. The pump and pressure relief valve are still intact and operational. As I said, I originally thought it was a good individual conversion however there are some other images on the internet. The only research I can come up with is that Abeille made camping stoves but presumably decided to branch into oil lamps for a while? 20190401_175741.jpg

ah that is very nice. I think it is a marriage of parts.
The burner and glass is quite likely Gaudard or similar. Could be a 12''' one?
The base ring has been sweated to a stove tank for much greater capacity.
The handle is a bit of home brew I suspect. The slotted hole indicates a boat lamp or similar.
Don't pump it! (It could get messy)

I have been thinking about trying this....
Je pense que c'est un travail de la cabane?

Tempted to agree with you Jon about it being a marriage of parts but as I said, There are others identical to this on the internet including one with a parabolic reflector. The quakity of construction is also extremely good unlike normal. " conversions". Will try to research more...

Interesting find and I agree that the number of similar lamps on the Internet confirms it is not a one off. But the conversion may not have been done at the factory.

Is there any indication that a stove burner could be installed to convert it to a pressure stove when required?

    Good luck with your research.

Hmmm, :-k, doesn't look like there were pot stand legs removed or somewhere to add them.

I’ve seen a lot of these on my travels, whether they were using up old stove parts or made them specially to look like stove parts I don’t know, but I’ve seen enough of them to know they were made like that. First time I saw one I thought oh that’s interesting shall I buy it, glad I didn’t bother.

    Well,
"Abielle" is french for Bee, hence the Bee symbol on the tank.
From the pictures I have seen of their stoves the leg supports would have been soldered to the sides of the tank. Abeille also made a number of small oil lamps, so my guess ( and its only a guess) is that Abeille themselves did the conversion, so maybe stove sales were low at one point.
Apart from that any further info is scarce.

Well monday was april first ...

If my sales where low, that low that I have to make lamps of my stove tanks I certainly would not mount a pump in the tank. Simply not to make the manufacture more expensive then necessary.
