The biggest moment in the life of a Petromax collector in Germany. Petromax 868 A (The holy grail) Regards Reinhard
Reinhard Excellent! Congratulations and thanks for the photos. Your neighbours must get a good view of the light in operation. Cheers Tony @Reinhard
Wonderful, Reinhard! What are the dimensions, mass and light output ? Did you need to do a lot of restoration on it?
Thank you very much for your congratulations and your interest in the Petromax 868 A. Two parts of the lamp were missing : The mixing tube screw and a knurled screw for the tank attachment. I was not satisfied last night. The 868 would have to be brighter. In addition, the mantle glowed yellowish. You can not see in the photos. Today I have again dismantled the Petromax 868 A and made the mixing tube screw shorter and daintier. I hope it will get better On the occasion , I took a few pictures. Does anyone know when the first and last year of production of the Petromax 868 A was ? Regards Reinhard
The processing of the mixing tube paddle brought the desired success. I think now she really has 800 HK ! And the sound is absolutely impressive. Regards Reinhard
@Juan The body has the same circumference. The pressure vessel, reflector and globe are larger. Reinhard
Hello, I would like to show mine too. Once with a normal reflector and once with a downlight. Can I sit at the table?
Hello Rollschmidts, wowww, what a beautiful lamp and more versatile than mine and also finished, different from mine. Whether you can take a seat at the table is up to Arthu.....äh I mean Reinhard, of course.
@rollschmidts You have an 868A and get a seat at the round table. Other owners of 868 A are being sought to organize and hold a historic meeting
