“Hello everyone, I have recaptured this lamp in my collection, it has two burners and a special door in mica. It has...”
Does it run on kero or naphtha/white gas? I can't see any preheater so I guess it's white gas... maybe?
PeeBee Hasag and Nulite all look pretty much the same. Hasag 100 is a copy of Nulite Storm King which is a single mantle lantern in the same style as this one. The twin mantle Nulite was their model 2 and could well have also been copied by Hasag. I am not convinced that Besnard actually made much and I suspect they used Hasag lanterns with some modifications. Problem is both Hasag and Nulite spread their stuff around a great deal. In the UK a lamp like this would be a Veritas Nova and a Nulite import. In a lot of the Far East you might also expect Nulite exports BUT Hasag also exported to the Far East. In continental Europe I am not so sure but perhaps it is more likely that Hasag product will turn up. It's all guesswork though as the two different makes are so near identical. ::Neil::
