The last days I got a good looking petromax 826.

The first I did do, I polished the lantern bottom.

    What a surprise.

I found the date from the manufacturing 1 8, January 1938 (PIOTR's discovering)

and than I found an engraved RABBIT, with the date

    21.3.38, on the bottom.

    What a surprise.

The 2. date seems to be the purchase date.

and the buyer perpetuated himself with a rabbit.

A rabbit! Now, that's funny.

I'll have to take a better look at my PX's and see if they will show something similar.

Great discovering Karli! I think it could have been some kind of possession marking or just a funny sketch, as the lantern could have been a gift what would indicate the exact date marking.
