In my search for pressure lanterns, I came across this little butane lantern.

It is a 2285 Primus Sievert, and it is fueled by puncturing a C206 butane (I know, I know... hence I posted under the "Open Forum") canister that is inserted and screwed tight from the bottom. It has a piezo-electric self starter and control valve.

It lit up well, but after extinguishing I realized that there was a small but persistent leak. I imagine the o-ring that matches up to the cannister could be a hardened ? Advice is welcome 20190526_183537.jpg

Hi Johan, as you imagined yourself it is most probably the rubber seal that has hardened. This also happens with the CampinGaz lamps/stoves/torches using the piercing canister, in fact it is their only weak point! I have no idea at all re the availability of replacements for these.

    Best regards,

    Wim
