@andrewdwork the instructions for a 909 show a foot valve on the bottom of the fuel pickup tube. The pricker doesn't shutoff the fuel, I suspect...

Les, Shellite might work but Acetone or Acrylic Thinners works well to free up a stuck CV.
They use an external pump. 9 lamp pumps. You pump the air in through the centre of the filler cap. The filler cap has a one way check valve...
