this little lantern has only been with me for two weeks. It worked nicely from the first day. And I think an original globe. Red pointer style jet cleaner, and stamped D^D. I assume military issue, but not certain.
I will replace the pump cup as it is not reliable, I am making my own now.
The bail handle is temporary, made from a bucket handle. The one it arrived with was ratty fence wire that did not clear the vent cap.
It has run flawlessly for three night stints of 4-5 hours. I like it a lot.

a nice comforting hiss, and light for any evening.

Austramax. They are a great runner, they are very collectible when you get into them.

Beautiful lanterns Darryl.i have never seen a vent like that second one. I am inspired to shine my two up. Now they are running nicely they deserve a spa treatment. I do love old things that were built to last.
