Bottom Stamping of Canadian Coleman 118Bs

I’ve been pondering the bottom stamping of Canadian Coleman 118B lamps.

I’m trying to understand any pattern.


1. This lamp of @ROBBO55 is dated 8/37 (stamped on side of fount in the usual manner) and has the following base:



Note: It has no model number. Has “CQ”
stamped on the base.


2. This lamp of mine dated 7/37 (stamped on side of fount in the usual manner) has the following base:



Note: It has no model number. Has “CQ”
and “0” stamped on the base.

3. This lamp of mine dated 12/35 (stamped on side of fount in the usual manner) has the following base:



Note: It has no model number. Has “CQ”
stamped on the base.


4. This lamp (below) of mine is undated and has the following base:



Note: It has no model number. Has “CQ” and “1-0” stamped on the base.

The Coleman Book [International Coleman Collector’s Club (2015) Guide to Vintage Coleman Products 1900 - 1983, p.55] has the following text about the Canadian 118B:


“Canada 118B/118BC

Identification:

Model number maybe stamped under fount as 118B or ink stamped.

Instant lighting, gasoline, built in pump.

Double mantle rated at 300 cp.

Roto-Type burner - "generator with tip cleaning needle, operated by rotary lever built into burner".

Stamped on side of fount with Coleman, Trademark inside Sunshine logo, The Sunshine of the Night, Made in Canada.

Dates below logo, one or two digits on the left for month and two digits on right for year.

Large, 8 inch diameter embossed brass fount. Fuel valve at base of handle.

Bakelite valve wheel with direction disk.
Smooth, wing-cap filler plug Parchment shade and mica protector sold separately.

118B Finish: Cobalt nickel plated, ebony black handle.

118BC Finish: Brushed coppertone, matching handle.

Other:

118B in nickel plate commonly called "Silver Duchess", but catalogs only state "Duchess" 118BC listed for export in 1934 catalog in Brushed Coppertone color only.

Documentation on this model is limited.”


I can’t make any sense out of the bottom stamping on these lamps above and none have the model number stamped.

Coleman did use up surplus base plates on later lamps.
