    Hey everybody,

I wanted to sell this old lamp I found in a cabin over 15 years ago in north Vancouver Canada. I posted it on marketplace for 10 bucks not thinking and then I’ve since been inundated with messages to buy. Some warning me it’s quite collectible.

Can anybody help me? In identifying just what it is, how old it is, and how much a collector would be willing to pay for it?

thanks in advance and kind regards.

    Andy

Ai seems to think it’s a Coleman Model 335 (Canadian-made, Toronto plant)… doesn’t seem right. The dotted Coleman on the neck part doesn’t seem to match.

Somebody who calls themselves a collector offered 50 CAD is this fair?

It is the policy of this forum not to give valuations.

We don’t give valuations here per forum rules but if I was you that lantern would be home with me now. One thing I learned over time is buy if first and then ask questions. Good luck

@Nugglety That wide hood makes it a 228.

Clean the areas shown below to reveal a date code - month on the left, year on the right. Left digit will probably be a letter (A, B, C or D) indicating 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th quarter.
