The recent storm - Amy I believe it's called - has hit the west coast and power is out all over the place. Still, it's a chance to bring out the lanterns again! I don't collect much since the prices went through the roof - thanks COVID lockdowns - but it's nice to take one off the shelf to fulfill it's original function. This is my Coleman 639 (actually a converted 635 with a new Genny) and boy is it bright! I've ordered one of these for emergencies. It was the next task but the storm caught me off guard! This should do the trick, shame it's doesn't run off kero!
Our power went off for about 40 minutes yesterday morning. I’d just brought the Tilley stove over from the pig hoose and filled a pan with water for a cuppie when it came back on again. Never mind there’s still a chance we will lose power again over the weekend. Hope you’re not out for too long Colin but still, it’s an ill wind as they say!
Looks like it’s doing the job well Colin. I expect your proposed generator will digest kerosene but that might be more expensive than the red diesel?
