Patinated Tilley Guardsman

    Sharing some pictures of a Tilley Guardsman that I restored and then added a patina to the tank. I didn’t like the bright brass so I tried to reproduce the aged brass that was showing under the very distressed paint. The patination fluid was actually bronze, but I like the finish.

    I’m 50/50 on the tank @KenC, interesting globe though.

    Yeah the globe was what originally attracted me. Phoenix brand. It has a curious red tint on the bottom. They presumably churned these out, so I’m guessing it was next to some red glass in the production line.
