Just a few words 10 months down the line from first picking up a pressure lamp - a Bialaddin 300X that was unearthed on the family farm - mods, if this in the wrong spot then please feel free to move...

I've had more than a few hobbies in my time, but I have to say that this is by far and away the most satisfying of them all. These include rebuilding a 107tonne diesel locomotive, model railways, collecting vinyl, books and vintage plastic kits. Yet, this has held me in thrall and I can't wait to get stuck into the next set of projects - the more hopeless the better.

Thanks to this amazing forum and the help it's given, I've learned a hell of a lot from a standing start, and now need to go through the early restorations to rebuild to a better standard - starting with the 300X. So, thank you everyone - it's been and still is a blast (not literally), and I'm hoping that when I visit the USA next year I'll come back with some interesting specimens

Oh and the favourite ones so far? Well, it has to be the Veritas's - the 350 and the Superb. I'm certainly hungry for more of those...

    Best as ever

    Chris

You have well and truly got the bug, I'm 10 years down the road and pushing 200, and still a novice compared to some of our members, wishing you many more years of collecting.
    Best regards
    Ian

Well fellas I am well and truly down the bottom, just a beginner, after 20 years I have around 100, but over that time I would most likely have traded, sold, and given away three times what I still have, but it is great to see others suffering at the bugs expense :)

some stoves are quite compact regarding space but the smaller lamps tend to be harder to find..
…and so it goes on ](*,)

Don't get me started on stoves... I have one that's steadfastly refusing to play ball

And as for addictive... I'm focusing on non-Tilley for 2025... need more 300Xs and so forth in my collection! Not to mention Veritas... did I mention I really like Veritas?

And I really must troubleshoot the black mantle of doom on the Anchor...
