The top insect screen for the X246A & B - would anyone have photo and dimensions please ?

Also, the bottom screen that opens up, two halves on a pivot. I need to make some up.

    Thank you.

Thanks, gentlemen. Just what I needed. The photo shows why. I was flummoxed when I found these beetles in my lantern - I had not thought of an invasion from above. Luckily they missed the mantle on their way down. That's a Mk 1 screen at the bottom. Funny what the glass has done with the optics - it shows an underside view of the spring which hold the screen to the vapouriser. For the spring, you snip a wire from the kitchen eggbeater and hope for scrambled eggs at next day's breakfast. :content:

Tony, if it's not too much trouble, could you possibly flip that small one over and send a pic ? I assume that one of those half-plates has a joggle-up for the rivet and that the two plates and coil spring are sandwiched between two large washers ? Thanks.

look forward to seeing what you come up with

i always thought an old clothes peg spring might be adapted but if you can find stainless wire that works then so much the better
