Undeniably, Henry! I am looking forward to comparing it side-by-side to the 816.
The interesting thing about the Petromax 816 is that it is not just a lantern with a stalk installed in the middle.
The fount, lower vaporiser and burner cage are all uniquely designed and are not standard lantern parts.
I am eager to see whether this is the case with the Glory lamp too.

 

Check the PLC. I have a Glory table lamp listed as a 350cp owned by Neville Botha. Looks to be the same model. ::Neil::

I fetched the Glory today. Here it is next to a Petromax 816:
