Here is a Tilley X246A which I picked up for very little: February 1964: Brass pump tube; brass pip holders: The air tubes on the burner were clogged with wasp nests: The second version of the black hood (with the lip on the middle section): I had to replace the vapouriser, and had a NOS from Dunmurry: Testing: Up and running, with a Korean glass: Daytime running in the shed: It was in pretty poor condition when I picked it up at an auction: Washers, leather and seals by The Fettlebox; mantle from The Base Camp. Cheers Tony
@Tony Press Looking good Tony, well fettled! I’ve never seen a speculum plated X246A in the flesh, a very smart looking Tilley. Thanks for sharing, Stevie
