I believe this to be the third and last revision of the Bowl Fire. Production ceased in 1962. It's extremely clean burning, excellent heat output and has been 100% trouble free from day one.
Yes, a 'Mark III' alright - the cranked lower handle support is diagnostic. Otherwise, it's what it hasn't got - no spout or metal 'pip' on the preheater, no central strut on the handle and no alloy block on the air-intake. I hadn't realised these were exported to the US as Bialaddin. The US export version was supposed to be badged as 'Imber Research' to avoid confusion with the US Aladdin Company. Imber Research Bowlfires have a green (as opposed to red) label on the front stating Imber Research instead of Bialaddin. The jet pricker control knob is also green and bears I.R. I've a couple of IR bowlfires here. There was also an Imber Research table lamp and a lantern, equivalent to the Bialaddin T20 and 310 respectively... Cracking condition, too...
Hi Dan what a find i dont think i have ever seen one in such superb condition i dont think it had ever been used if so hardly at all,the bowl reflector is in mint condition most i have seen are some what pitted yours realy will radiate a great amount of heat. I have one and they are brillliant and like most has the wire guard missing which is such a shame well done there Dan a great addition to your collection
Thats a lovely Bowl fire there! Its in nice condition makes my Tilley R1 look poor, Bialaddin do make some lovely products! Thanks for posting, Adam
