Nice lamp Marco! I don't think giving valuations is a thing here on the forum. When it comes to stuff like old pressure lamps (or other antiques for that matter) the value is just what "the fool" is willing to pay. There is not really an intrinsic value for any of these things. At least that is my opinion. Just make an add on eBay (or your local German online market place) and see what people are willing to pay. And sell it if the number gives you a sense of gratification. Best of luck!
@Marco Treumann Hi Marco and welcome to the forum. Your T10 tank and stem would originally have been painted cream like the base. Some people love them, others don’t. For me, I think they’re a great lamp.
Looks like a very nice lamp you've got there. I find the design unique and interesting... modern styling on old type of technology which gives it a certain charm. It's a kerosene powered space capsule!
Sputnik! .. the top (from what I can see) looks pretty good, which seems to be pretty rare on these as they tend to crazy pave. I'd personally repaint the base but that's a preference. These are a bit 'marmite' tbh......I love marmite!!
Welcome @Marco Treumann, a nice lamp and I would repaint the fount for what it's worth. @paparazi I agree with paparazi about most being crazy paved and that we can only see part of the hood. and This model often gets references to space capsules. Interestingly it is worth remembering that the most powerful engine ever built ran on kerosene (Saturn 5 first stage). Also that this style of font was also found on early Coleman lamps such as the Model R. Iain
Anyway, the reality is that the US Mercury programme copied the Bialaddin design and not the other way round....
