A recent find described as a plant pot. The copper bowl has the deep decorative band while the one I’ve owned for almost 11 years has the narrow band.

Believe it or not David I found it in that wee bit of country south of Scotland called English-shire. However, I did find the first one locally though.

I just hope it wasn't anywhere near here, Jean.

Although I haven't bought a lamp or lantern for years now, that (and a Vapalux do-nut) I couldn't resist. Actually, thinking about it, there are still far too many lamps I couldn't/wouldn't resist if the price was right. In fact, anything other than an X246B with dented tank and no glass..

    Amazing find @Jean J ! :) .. Very well done !!!

Ah, but surely this one won't go in the 'pig hoosie' ?? ;)

You say it was described as a pot holder? Did it come without the lamp then?

@ROBBO55 is right, it is stunning :-)

I must admit that finding my first FS was lucky, it was in a small local auction, no catalogue and not on-line. Also it was just before everyone started buying up lamps. The second one, the pic of the ‘plant pot’ caught my eye but it was collection only and the fear that it would be spotted and carried off by someone else prompted me to make a pretty silly offer for it. Then I found someone I knew slightly who was going to be in that area and who offered to collect it for me. As my Mam used to say “Fit’s for ye winna go by ye.” Good luck in finding one too tilleyscout, they are still out there.

Or, as we say here in "English-shire" - 'what's destined to be yours won't go past you'... ;)
