    Don’t sand the top of the vapouriser! If you do that, you will enlarge the jet.

    The jet must be cleaned from the inside with a pricker. The top of the Tilley pricker is very fine (~O.19mm). If the pricker is damaged it may not be able to clear the jet.

    A new pricker, and/or a new vapouriser can be bought from The Base Camp (UK).

    Found this by typing "tilley vaporiser" in the search box (top of page above right hand column)
    Tilley vaporiser ( Click on left ) It may help to see what is in there.

    I have cleared a vaporisers by heating to dull red and dropping in water. (The outer alone ) then tapping the outside with a 1/4 steel rod .
    One more heating to make certain NO moisture remained.

    This is the carbon from 1 vaporiser .
