Solar Heater

Picked up this one recently.
Anyone have a guard for the bowl?

 

A very lucky find!

I have only seen one or two examples before so it's a scarce heater, you will probably have to make a guard and the link below shows a complete example of that heater.

It should have a wire mesh mantle, the one which is fitted is made from asbestos and it's not safe to use and it's currently fitted upside down.

Nice example and seldom seen - but it does look like an old Tilley asbestos heater mantle has been fitted.

 

The Crome looks in good condition. Very nice!
