    Hi there!

I recently started collecting pressure lamps and have now completed the restoration of my first one. Love these lamps!
I understand this model was produced in two versions. What are the differences? And any way to date mine?

How it looked when I got it..

There are a few differences between the variations. Here is a list of the changes made for your version.
    1. Top cap has a different shape.
    2. Globe cage has the cut out for the quick starter for the 1084.
    3. The model number is only on the label on the collar.
    4. The tank has a blanking plug where the quick starter for the 1084 would be.

Here you can see an example of the earlier version.

I'm not sure about when the changes were made by HV, but the same changes were made by Primus in 1954.
